Public Perception Changed by Rural Water

Quality on Tap! - It Really Does Sink In to People's Minds
Rural Water is all about clean, safe
and affordable water ... in other words "Quality On Tap!" Every rural
resident in the United States should be able to turn on their tap and receive top quality
water.
You know public perception is
beginning to change when area residents start referring to their local water system as
"Quality on Tap!" That is exactly what happened in Emerald Isle, North
Carolina at the Bogue Banks Water Corporation when they received a water payment in an envelope addressed to "Quality on Tap."
Cathy Craft, Administrator for Bogue
Banks stated, "NRWA's Quality on Tap promotion has been a lot of fun for all of us
who work at Bogue Banks Water Corporation and for our customers, especially on Friday
afternoons. That's when customers like to come in, drop off a payment and ask about
what's "on Tap"!"
"We have used this promotion in
several different ways. It is on our front door awning,
engraved in the cement sidewalk leading to the door, on the backs on our
trucks, included in seasonal displays, and anywhere else we can put it! When we
received a recent payment from a customer, we knew then that QOT had become synonymous
with our water company.
...They addressed in not to us, but to
Quality on Tap!! We thought that was just too funny and wanted to let you know what
a great campaign QOT shill is and how much fun folks continue to have with it. It
really does sink in to people's minds and reinforces the fact that they do indeed have
Quality on Tap!", said Craft.
