Right now, our total membership services almost 2 million residents of SC. That is important enough for us to ensure that anyone who owns, leases, manages, operates, or maintains any equipment, facilities, programs, or properties relating to water or sewer systems has the information they need to provide quality water services to customers.

By becoming a member, you have access to not only our knowledge, but the knowledge and expertise of those involved in this industry nationwide.

For example, SCRWA keeps up with the ever-changing climate in the water industry, so you don’t have to. In fact, SCRWA can offer you on-site and personal service with all of your drinking water and wastewater needs. We can also help you establish a Sourcewater Protection Plan, assist you with Rate Surveys, Sanitary Surveys and assistance in completing all of your annual EPA requirements. Through our connection with the National Rural Water Association, we know how legislation and changes in regulations might affect our members. We’re able to decipher that information and bring you up to speed.

The SCRWA staff utilizes the latest technology and stays current on the most recent issues affecting our industry, and we pass that knowledge along to you in a way that helps you better service your customers and your communities.

That’s not all. As a member of SCRWA, you and your employees will have access to several Membership Benefits programs. Some of these programs are:

· Opportunity to support our Legislative Action Communicative Initiative: LACI. If you choose to become an active LACI supporter, you will be notified of all pertinent legislative issues that may affect our industry and will be kept in the loop on the status of that bill as it moves through our legislative process. In addition, your support will allow the LACI program to retain a lobbyist to not only monitor these bills, but to speak on behalf of the utility systems in South Carolina on how these changes in law and regulations can and will effect your utility system.

· The SCRWA Insurance Program will not only reduce your insurance premiums by 10-30 percent, but will give you broader coverage.

· The SCRWA Billing Software Program provides up-to-date software for accurate billing and financial management that has a secure daily data backup system and provides online & automated phone payments, with no initial software cost investment to you

· See the System Membership form for a more complete list of benefits

SCRWA has developed a new page on our web site which is a "private members-only” page that can only be accessed by current SCRWA Vendor and System Members. Access to this page requires a member name and password. To obtain login information, please call the SCRWA office or email a request to Kelly Pitts once your 2012 Membership Dues are remitted. This password will be changed each year to ensure that only SCRWA current members will be able to access the material. We will periodically post templates, program information, and notices that are not available to the general public or non-member companies. Please email Kelly Pitts for more information.
