A minimum Class "D" Biological wastewater, "D" Drinking water, and "D" Water distribution license/certification is required. Ability to conduct field sampling, laboratory analysis of field parameters and quality control for City lagoon and spray field wastewater treatment system is required. Ability to operate Ditch Witch backhoe /trencher or equivalent for repairs to water/wastewater distibution; and installation of and maintenance of fire hydrants is required. The City of Clinton is accepting applications for a Water Treatment Plant Operator. A minimum Class "C" operator license is required. Also the applicant will be required to work all shifts. The City of Clinton offers a competitive salary and a benefit package that includes South Carolina State Retirement.

Wastewater Treatment Operator "B"

The Aiken, SC facility is hiring for a Waste Water Treatment Operator.  The Waste Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the proper operation of the waste water treatment (WWT) systems for the plant. The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring that the WWT systems are run according to Owens Corning permit requirements and according to Federal, State and Local regulations. The successful candidate is responsible for all necessary testing and WWT log management. The successful candidate is responsible for all communications with the laboratories for this testing.
The successful candidate must be licensed by the South Carolina certification board as a “B” physical/chemical wastewater treatment plant operator.
The successful candidate must have three (3) years of actual operating experience at a physical/chemical wastewater facility or equivalent.  He/she must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
Owens Corning will conduct a criminal background check, a physical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsible for day-to-day operations, including control and maintenance of a 24 MGD surface water treatment facility.  Operates plant’s SCADA system, controlling pressure and flow of water in the distribution system.  Operates pumps and machinery, regulating valves and observing the flow dials.  Keeps daily log of all shift operations; reads gauges and records information.  Conducts laboratory tests and analysis; adds chemicals to water system in accordance with prescribed standards.  Requires a high school diploma and at least five years experience in conventional water treatment.  An “A” level certificate in water treatment is preferred; a “B” level certificate in water treatment is required. Salary range is $34,028-$47,653 per year.
