Cassatt Water Co., Inc. is initiating a four-year capital improvements project that will require a part time professional engineer. The successful candidate will initially be filled and be maintained through an employment agency for a period of 3 to 6 months. The position will last for 18 to 48 months.

Details of the position are as listed but not limited to:

The Applicant must be a professional engineer with current South Carolina registration.    Documentation to be submitted with resume. Compensation to be established with the successful applicant. The applicant's personal circumstances must be such that he will commit to working a part time position with no intent to seek other full time employment. The applicant must submit documentation of a Bachelor of Science degree in civil or a related field of engineering from an accredited university or college. The position will require a commitment to work 16 to 24 hours per week at the Cassatt office.   Additional hours may be required from time to time.

Working experience must include but not be limited to:

o      Public water distribution system design, permitting, and construction.

o      Field construction management

o      Water pumps, wells, and controls

o      Surveying

o      DOT permitting

o      Acquisition of easements and rights of way

o      Knowledge of DHEC and other regulatory agency requirements pertaining to public water supply.

o      Ability to communicate with and work with staff at all levels of experience responsibility.
